BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) – The Hotsinpiller Foundation held its 16th annual Derek Hotsinpiller Fallen Stars 5K Saturday to honor officers who died in the line of duty.
The 5K is held in remembrance of Deputy U.S. Marshal Derek Hotsinpiller, who was killed on duty in 2011 while serving a warrant at a home in Elkins.
The foundation was started as a scholarship to honor Derek Hotsinpiller and his father Jim, who passed away suddenly after serving with the Bridgeport Police Department for 27 years….
