Hello, my name is Dustin Hotsinpiller. I am the President of the Hotsinpiller Memorial Foundation, which is named in honor of my late father, Lt. James William Hotsinpiller, and my brother, Deputy United States Marshal Derek Hotsinpiller. I have been working in the Law Enforcement Community for over 20 years. I began my career with the Bridgeport Police Department in 2002, and in 2013, I joined the United States Marshal Service as a Deputy US Marshal and a member of the United States Marshals Special Operations Group.
As a committee member, my role is to help with the planning and execution of the race. I assist in the logistical aspects of the race such as fundraising, distribution of race materials, and pre and post-race setup. I work closely with the race director and help with day-to-day operations as needed.
The race holds a special place in my heart. It pays tribute to the memory and legacy of my father and brother, as well as to the fathers, mothers, brothers, and sisters who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Our mission is to honor all those who have served, are serving, and those we have lost. We strive to be a source of joy and inspiration during these somber moments.
