Alicia Betarie

Fairmont State University

Alicia Betarie attends Fairmont State University, where she majors in Criminal Justice and minors in Psychology. She is the daughter of Steven and Jacqueline Patterson of Quiet Dell. Alicia serves on the production team of Centerbranch Church. AT FSU, she played club volleyball her sophomore year. She made the Dean’s List her freshman year and the President’s List her sophomore and junior years. While attending Bridgeport High School, she played varsity volleyball and was a member of the Mountain Rage Volleyball Club and the National Honor Society. Her junior year, she enrolled at the United Technical Center to participate in the Criminal Justice Program. The program sparked her interest in the field. At the present time, Alicia plans to pursue work in reentry either as a Correctional Officer in a prison or as a Probation Officer. She wants to be able to provide resources to those who have been incarcerated, to help them succeed. She knows it is a stressful field but believes it will be rewarding as well. She currently works for the Department of Justice.
