Isaac Cooley enrolled at Fairmont State University to obtain a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity in the spring of 2020. He worked in fast food to pay for school and upon turning 18, he applied to the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office. He was hired in the summer of 2021 and took a semester off to attend the WVSP Academy. Because of the break in education, he lost the scholarship which had paid more than half of his tuition. He continued his education in the spring of 2022 while working at the HCSO. He was informed of the Hotsinpiller Scholarship through his agency.
