Recipients

Ryan Deal is a Deputy Sheriff at the Preston County Sheriff’s Office where he is assigned to patrol. Mr. Deal currently serves on the SRT team with the Preston County Sheriff’s Office. He is working on his fourth year in law enforcement. Mr. Deal was named law enforcement of the year in 2022 in Preston County and is up for the running in 2023 again. Mr. Deal received All American Academic scholars in high school where he continued his education at Fairmont State University graduating with a bachelor’s degree in strategic leadership while on the Dean’s list and President’s list. Mr. Deal resides in Kingwood, WV. Mr. Deal is a member of the West Virginia National Guard where he serves with the 1/150th Cavalry Regiment out of Gassaway, WV. He loves to spend time with his family, hunting, and fishing. Mr. Deal is avid to learn more ways to help him at work and with the Army. He believes that everyday someone learns something new.
